About Us

Greer Architects creates contemporary, sustainable spaces that blend refined aesthetics with functional design, delivering thoughtful architecture rooted in wellness, heritage, and adaptability.

Our Story

From a young age, I was captivated by the way spaces make us feel—whether the awe of a cathedral, the comfort of home, or the curiosity sparked by a museum. I was unknowingly collecting finish samples as a child, hoarding paint chips and fabric swatches, sketching floor plans, and devouring issues of Architectural Digest before middle school. Architecture has always been more than a career—it’s been a lifelong passion for shaping experiences through design.

What professional journey led you to where you are today?

I earned my degree from the Syracuse University School of Architecture in 2018, with a focus on sustainable residential and commercial design. During my time there, I led a team in the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon, was a finalist in the WELL Building Challenge, and collaborated on a spatial installation in Montpellier, France. I also interned in New York City with renowned architect Bernard Tschumi, assisting on an international museum competition. After graduation, I returned to Kentucky and worked on K–12 and commercial projects, including Tates Creek High School and Breathitt County Elementary. Later, I spent three years in Aspen, Colorado, managing high-end residential and hospitality designs as a Senior Project Manager. Most recently, I served as a Campus Architect in higher education, overseeing both interior and exterior campus projects. These diverse experiences—spanning small towns to global cities—shape the thoughtful, detail-oriented work we bring to every project at Greer Architects.

What local or regional influences impact your design philosophy?

Raised in Eastern Kentucky, I’m deeply influenced by Appalachian heritage. I strive to design spaces that feel rooted, warm, and connected to nature—drawing from local materials, craft traditions, and the wisdom of place. My time in Colorado honed my appreciation for mountain-modern design and the use of regional materials and makers—an approach I now bring home to the Appalachian region.

Designing Spaces That Inspire

We are guided by a deep respect for heritage, a commitment to sustainability, and a focus on occupant wellbeing—creating spaces that are healthy, enduring, and meaningful for generations to come.
