Radio & production studio
The challenge: What was the client looking for? What constraints existed?
The client wanted to transform an existing classroom plagued by acoustic reverberation issues (due to its steel structure and concrete flooring) into a high-quality space for video and audio productions and recordings. The space needed to accommodate specialized recording equipment and integrate control of lighting from an adjacent area.

The solution: How did your design address these challenges?
We addressed the acoustic challenges by incorporating ceiling-mounted acoustic blades and acoustic luxury vinyl tile (LVT) flooring. Blackout roller shades and a ceiling-mounted support structure were installed to accommodate studio lighting and control light levels. Custom casework was designed for specialty equipment storage and use during productions, while a dedicated green-screen area with appropriate flooring was integrated to expand the room’s functionality.
Key design elements or features worth highlighting:
Acoustic ceiling treatments
Custom casework tailored to production needs
Well-equipped, adaptable green-screen production area.
